With the end of second year right around the corner, Doctoring in Vermont under my belt, and my sights set on USMLE Step 1, I have become very aware of the profound amount of preclinical knowledge we all have accumulated in the past year and a half. The UVM College of Medicine Running & Marathon Team: An Introduction

The UVM College of Medicine running and marathon team began five years ago as a fundraiser for pediatric oncology research. For the last two years, members of the team have raised funds for the Steps to Wellness program, which is an oncology and hematology rehabilitation program run by Dr. Kim Dittus and Dr. Patricia O’Brien.

Global Health Student Interest Group helps Students Prepare for Experiences Abroad

Since starting school last fall it’s been amazing to me how willing, and even eager, so many students are to add more commitments and responsibilities on top of the already rigorous academic course load. In many ways, I think the student interest groups and other organizations help to balance the unfortunate monotony of the classroom and to maintain perspective on the ultimate goals of medical education, namely the support of humanity.
